Central Point activities highlight bike safety The Central Point Parks and Recreation Department and Rogue Valley Transportation District will hold a Bike Safety Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Central Point City Hall. The event strives to teach children safe biking practices, how to properly fit their helmets and basic bike maintenance. Children will learn hand signals and practice biking skills on a bike obstacle course. After completing all activities, participants will be able to enter a free raffle for bike-related prizes. Unreal Cycles of Central Point will sponsor a bike maintenance booth, where bikes will be tuned so they are ready to complete the obstacle course. The event will include a helmet giveaway for those in need.
