Our View: Charging ahead on supporting electric vehicles ... Rogue River man allegedly copped to fatal knifing, affidavit says ... SINCE YOU ASKED Since You Asked: Most Americans tidy about making their beds Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Jan. 16, 2015 at 12:01 AM Posted Jan. 16, 2015 at 12:01 AM » Social News My husband and I have debated what percentage of folks make their beds each morning. I say 50 percent; he thinks it's higher. Any opinion? — G.E., Ashland G.E., you should know that we deal in more than opinion here at Since You Asked International Headquarters. So we have data — well, at least a survey — to answer your question. According to a 2011 poll by the National Sleep Foundation, a whopping 71 percent of Americans surveyed said they make their beds daily. That's down, but not that far off of a 1993 poll that found that 74 percent made beds daily. The National Sleep Foundation poll was based on responses from 1,500 randomly selected Americans between the ages of 25 and 55. According to the poll, those who made their beds daily were 19 percent more likely to say they regularly got a good night's sleep.  There were a couple of concerning figures from the survey: Five percent of those polled said they never made their beds. Even more concerning: Three percent said they changed the sheets every day.  Send questions to “Since You Asked,” Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
