Daniel Omar Carrion, 39, of the first block of Brophy Way, Central Point, was arrested on a $5 million warrant from Jackson County for the alleged sexual assault of six minor victims between 2005 and 2014. The victims were described as two females younger than 12, a male younger than 12 and three females younger than 14 at the times of the attacks. Carrion was indicted Jan. 13 on first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration (three counts), first-degree sexual abuse (five counts) and criminal mistreatment (six counts). Carrion was transported to Jackson County Jail Tuesday and remains lodged on more than $5 million bail. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Jackson County Circuit Court. If found guilty, Carrion faces a minimum of 25 years in prison due to the ages of the victims and a maximum of 170 years in prison.
