Amy Joy Cook was last seen at her OnTrack group treatment session the evening of March 16 in Medford, but failed to return to the center in Phoenix, according to the warrant, filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court. Cook was transferred to the minimum-security work release detention center in February after serving a year in federal prison in Dublin, Calif. Cook's whereabouts are unknown, the warrant states. Her supervised probation was slated to begin in November. In January 2015, Cook was sentenced to three years in prison after she pleaded guilty to robbing a Bank of America branch at 790 Stevens St. on June 5, 2013. Cook stole $256 from the branch after slipping the teller a note. No firearm was used in the crime, but the note indicated she was armed, according to archives. Cook spent more than four months as a fugitive before she was arrested on Oct. 18 on vehicle theft and drug possession charges in Sahuarita, Ariz., about 50 miles south of Tucson. Cook was previously convicted in Jackson County Circuit Court of a 2010 robbery of the Highway 99 market in Talent. Cook entered the market on Jan. 14, slammed her purse on the counter and announced she was robbing the store. No gun was seen, but when the clerk didn't believe her, Cook reached into her jacket to suggest she had a handgun, and made threats to shoot teenagers who had gathered outside the store during the robbery.
