Kauffman 2nd in net singles Kevin Kauffman, a 1992 graduate of North Medford High, recently finished second at the Sunriver Owner�s Invitational Tennis Tournament. Kauffman won three matches in straight sets before falling in the finals, 7-5, 6-4. He also competed in doubles with partner Joan Fields of Bend and lost in the semifinals to the top seeded team in three sets. Kauffman is a member of the Rogue Valley Swim & Tennis Club men�s USTA team that is headed for the sectionals singles competition in Sunriver. He has been ranked for three straight years in the men�s open singles in the USTA PNW circuit, which is composed of top open players, college players and juniors. In 1998, Kauffman won the Lithia mixed open doubles with local pro Kim Guamer and was the only local player to be invited to the men�s national singles 25 in San Diego.
