Top-ranked Comets cruise past Panthers Jan 20, 2006 12:00 AM A A CENTRAL POINT ' Crater shook up its lineup a little on senior night against visiting South Medford in a Southern Oregon Conference wrestling dual Thursday. The slight tweak, however, didn't change the Panthers' fortunes as the Comets cruised to a 46-21 victory. Top-ranked and three-time defending state champion Crater (4-1 SOC) scored the first six victories of the match ' three coming by pin ' and South Medford never recovered. We rested a few kids and bumped some others up tonight, said Crater coach Greg Haga. We tried to get as many seniors in the lineup as possible. It was a good chance for some of the kids. Crater's Shawn Ogle, who moved up from his customary weight of 152 pounds to wrestle at 160, scored a 6-4 victory over Dan Kaufman in double overtime in the most competitive match of the evening. Juan Aguilar (119), Ken Hyland (125) and Scott Switzer (171) each had wins for South. — TEAM RESULTS ' Crater 46, South Medford 21. 103 ' double forfeit; 112 ' Jeremy Artoff, C, dec.
