People in business Jeff Dicus has joined the staff of Leader Mortgage as a senior loan officer. Dicus has worked in real estate for 18 years and spent the past four as branch manager of Mortgage One's Medford office. Janice Higginbotham has joined Hometown Mortgage's Medford office as a loan representative. Higginbotham has worked in real estate, customer service and finance for more than 15 years. She is a former member of the Million Dollar Real Estate Club, a graduate of the Dale Carnegie professional development program and has won multiple customer service awards. Charlie Johnson has joined Linsco Private Ledger's Medford office as an investment adviser. Johnson has more than 15 years' experience in the financial services industry and will offer stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, retirement planning and financial planning. Ron Demele has been appointed executive director of the Rogue Valley Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve Jackson County's quality of life through affordable housing projects and other community development programs. Demele, an instructor at College of the Siskiyous in Weed, Calif., who lives in Ashland, brings more than 20 years' experience in administration and involvement with community-based programs.
