Rogue River police reported Michael Aaron Tyerman, 32, is held in the jail on charges of unlawful discharge of a weapon, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. His bail is set at $12,000, according to jail records. On its Facebook page, Rogue River police reported they responded to Parkview Mobile Estates, in the 300 block of West Evans Creek Road, at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, after reports of a suicidal man inside a mobile home with a gun. Officers from Rogue River police, Oregon State Police and Jackson County Sheriff's Department converged on the scene and ordered Tyerman out of the home. Tyerman, who had been armed with a 12-gauge shotgun and 9mm pistol, surrendered in the driveway, the post said. An investigation showed Tyerman fired at least one round inside the home, which broke a bedroom window. Police said he had previously stuck the gun in his mouth. He also allegedly struck a family member in the face and kidney with his fist and punched several holes in the wall. Rogue River police were not immediately available for comment.
