Taco fundraiser held for families of teens killed in crash By Simone Braithwaite KTVL May 25, 2018 12:30 PM A A MEDFORD, Ore. — More neighbors are stepping up to help the families of Lucy Tellez, Giselle Montano and Esmeralda Nava. The three Eagle Point High Schoolers were killed by a wrong-way driver on Saturday. Adriana Gonzalez says her friends and family decided to sell tacos and hold a raffle to raise money for the three families. Thursday, on Alberts Street in Medford, people lined up around the block to support, not even letting the weather stop their efforts. "It was raining and I was telling them it was actually a sign," said Gonzalez. "I said this is a sign, you know from God, he's testing us cause he wants to see how much we really want to support" They are showing their support by donating 100 percent of the proceeds. The fundraiser went on until people stopped showing up at about 10:30 p.m. If you didn't get a chance to grab a taco, Tacos La Morena located in White City, is holding an event from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, May 28.
