Teen's condition remains serious A Medford teenager was upgraded to serious condition Monday after suffering injuries in a car crash Sunday evening near Jacksonville. Brynn Woodard, 16, a junior at South Medford High School, initially was listed in critical condition at Rogue Valley Medical Center. She was trapped in a 1989 Honda Accord, which flipped on a notorious S-curve on Jacksonville Highway near Hanley Road and landed upside down in a canal. "Luckily there wasn't that much water in it," Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy Phil Cicero said Monday. Cicero said the driver, 18-year-old Trevor Nisbet of Central Point, apparently lost control on the curve and overcorrected. No other vehicles were involved. Nisbet was also hospitalized overnight. He was listed in fair condition at RVMC Monday. According to Cicero, the conditions were wet and dark. Neither speed nor alcohol was a factor in the accident. Both youths were wearing seat belts.
