The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Oregon was $3.225. Although the price has dropped in the past week, it is still higher than the national average of $3.043. Nationally, the price dropped from $3.10 a week ago. Stations in the Ashland and Medford area reported an average price of only $3.137, down from $3.30 a week ago. Southern Oregon had the lowest reported average price of the metropolitan areas surveyed in the state. The average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.18 in Eugene-Springfield, $3.21 in Portland and $3.214 in Salem.
