Spartans win eighth straight Dec 13, 2014 12:00 AM A A The Southern Oregon Spartans Junior A hockey team reeled off its eighth straight win with a 7-3 thumping of the Seattle Totems in the first of a three-game series on Friday at The RRRink. The Spartans (19-4), who scored four goals in the third period, received two goals from Mackenzie Wood. Jonathon Lovelace, Johan Lovestrom, Brody Surette, Marcus Miller and Billy Saxon also scored for the Spartans. The Totems dropped to 6-15.
