FBI assists search for 8-year-old boy BURNS -- An FBI profiler is joining the search for a missing 8-year-old Klamath County boy. Klamath County Sheriff Carl Burkhart said Thursday that the FBI will assist the sheriff's department in investigating the disappearance of Derrick Engebretson, who has been missing since Dec. 5, 1998. On Sept. 25, authorities discovered graffiti on a restroom wall near Burns referring to Derrick. Fingerprints also were found. Authorities from a number of agencies, including the FBI, searched a one-mile area around the restroom but turned up no additional clues or evidence. The FBI profiler will analyze the handwriting to determine what type of person may have written it, and whether it may have been a hoax.
