Eva Nathalee Baker Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Jul. 29, 2015 at 2:00 AM Posted Jul. 29, 2015 at 2:00 AM » Social News Eva Nathalee Baker Eva Nathalee Baker was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the night of July 25, 2015 at home with her family. She was 86 years old. Eva was born May 3, 1929 in Mill Springs (Polk County), North Carolina to William James Proctor and Mabel (Lynch) Proctor. Eva is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harold E. Baker of Gold Hill, Ore; three daughters, Candice L. Smith of Gold Hill, Ore., Jackie Love of Rio Ranchero, N.M., and Leslie Waltz of Sisters, Ore. Eva was grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Eva was preceded by one daughter, Sue Eva Anthony and her brother, James William Proctor. Eva spent many years of her life as a chef, owning her first restaurant in her early twenties. She never lost her adventurous spirit, especially where food was concerned. She later retired to a greater profession as a housewife, mother, and grandmother, always praying for her loved ones. There will be a memorial service held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, 4233 E. Evans Creek Road, Rogue River, Ore. The family welcomes friends who desire to celebrate her life.
