The exhibit in Turin, Italy, is expected to draw Christians from all over the world. The cloth is normally kept in a sealed container in a dark chapel next to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, and it has only been displayed five times since 1933. The cloth is controversial because not all scientists and religious scholars believe it is authentic. SURVEY SAYS A new poll on religion in Cuba has found that while Cubans love the Catholic Church, they do not consider themselves, on average, to be very religious. The poll — conducted by Univision Noticias and Fusion networks — surveyed around 1,200 Cubans, and found that while seven out of 10 respondents viewed the Catholic Church positively, a full 44 percent said they were “not religious.” GOOD BOOK? ‘Searching for Sunday’ by Rachel Held Evans Like millions of her millennial peers, Rachel Held Evans didn’t want to go to church anymore.
