Hall resigns as SOU football coach By SOU Sports Information Nov 14, 2022 04:27 PM A A ASHLAND — Southern Oregon University athletic director Matt Sayre announced Monday that he has accepted Charlie Hall’s resignation as the Raiders’ head football coach. “We thank Charlie for all his hard work and dedication to Raider football,” Sayre said. “He was a solid presence for our program during the challenging pandemic years and always had the best interests of his student-athletes at heart.” Hall posted a 28-26 record in six seasons at SOU. In his first, the 2017 Raiders went 12-1, won the Frontier Conference and advanced to the NAIA semifinals for the third time in team history. The next year they briefly held the NAIA’s No. 1 ranking following a 4-0 start. On Saturday, they wrapped up their second straight 3-7 campaign.
