Fleser passed away at home in Medford, Ore. in the arms of her daughters Friday, August 7, 2015. She was born March 2, 1928 in Goff, Kansas to William Sparks and Florence Glenn Sparks. On December 15, 1945 she married Lowell W. Fleser in Reno, Nev. Wilma and Lowell began their married life in Minam, Ore. While working for the Minam sawmill, she learned bookkeeping, then tenaciously called for the same wages as the man who had last held the position. After moving to Medford in 1953, Wilma continued to work as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Wilma volunteered for many years in the SMART Reading Program helping Medford area children learn to read. She was a member of the Elks and Eagles. She enjoyed fishing, canning, and passed on her love of needlework to any grandchildren who wanted to learn. Wilma is survived by her three daughters, Laurice Evans (Robert), Karen Tokuda, and Cynthia Gregg; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles "Chuck" Fleser in 2008; and her husband of 63 years, Lowell Fleser in 2009. There will be a Celebration of Wilma's life in October for family and friends.
