Set in Atlanta during the heat of the civil rights movement, playwright Alfred Uhry's story explores an unlikely relationship between an aging Southern lady and her black driver. This warm-hearted, poignant play won the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1988. Camelot's production stars Shirley Patton as Daisy Werthan and Steven Dominguez as Hoke Coleburn. Paul R. Jones directs. Jim Giancarlo directs and choreographs, and piano accompaniment is provided by Sarah Wussow.
