Bulldogs prevail in Washington boxing tourney YAKIMA, Wash. -- Medford's Bulldog Boxing Club won two championships in the ring Sunday and went on to capture the team title for the second straight year at the Washington State Boxing Championships. In all, the Bulldog Club racked up five titles in the ring and seven unopposed during the two-day event. The Bulldog boxers to win championships in the ring Sunday were Emanual Luvino and Mark Williams. Luvino decisioned Javier Garza of Othello, Wash., in a 15-16-year-old, 112-pound bout, while Williams won his 13-14-year-old 125-pound title against Oscar Hernandez of West Portland. Mike Wilson, senior super heavyweight, and Luis Regalado (9-10, 55) won walkovers. Tito Torres, who won a championship on Saturday, was victorious in a match bout against Jose Alacan of Browning, Mont., in a 9-10, 75-pound bout. There were over 25 teams from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana competing in the tournament.
