Celebration at Miles Field to honor Gould A giant 50th birthday celebration for longtime Medford sports booster and statistician B.G. Gould will be held at Miles Field on Monday, Aug. 6. All of Gould's friends and acquaintances are encouraged to attend the birthday bash, which begins at 6 p.m. with pizza and drinks. Jerry Allen, the radio voice of the Oregon Ducks who once broadcast games for the Medford Black Tornado, will pay tribute to Gould at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. The admission pays for pizza, salad, a soft drink and cake. Contributions will be welcomed at the gate for a birthday gift for Gould. Those who can't attend but would like to contribute to Gould's gift can make checks out to B.G. Gift Fund and mail to Ed Singler, 35 Berkeley Way, Medford, 97504.
