Jeffrey Scott Ernest Gourneau, 26, was arrested Friday evening on felony charges of attempted murder and first-degree assault after his brother appeared with stab wounds at about 5 p.m. Friday at the Applegate Fire Department station on Upper Applegate Road. Mercy Flights transported Rodney Lee Gourneau, 25, via helicopter to Rogue Regional Medical Center. He remained hospitalized as of Saturday. According to a Jackson County Sheriff's Office release, Jeffrey Gourneau allegedly stabbed his brother during a fight at the McKee Bridge in the 9000 block of Upper Applegate Road. After the stabbing Jeffrey Gourneau drove Rodney to the fire station, according to the release. Jeffrey Gourneau was lodged Friday in the Jackson County Jail. He remained in jail Saturday on $2 million bail.
