October 24. 2014 1:00PM Business briefs Boise Cascade earnings up Boise Cascade reported third-quarter earnings of $32.3 million, or 82 cents per share. The Boise, Idaho-based plywood and engineered wood products manufacturer, which operates two plants in White City and one in Medford, reported revenue of $983.3 million. Boise Cascade shares have increased 11 percent this year.   Local companies vying for Good Food Awards Three Jackson County firms, including a pair of coffee companies, have been name finalists for the 2015 Good Food Awards in San Francisco. Some 206 companies submitted 1,462 entries, with 21 finalists coming from Oregon. Jacksonville-based Gary West Artisan Smoked Meats' Wood River Smoked Wagyu is a finalist in the Charcuteirie competition. Case Coffee Roasters of Ashland earned a spot in the finals for its Kenya Muthonjo AA.
