Skating studs, 'Jackass' star shred 'em in Ashland ASHLAND - Fans of competitive skateboarding and the MTV show "Jackass" will get a double dose of entertainment locally on Sunday. That's when teams featuring "Jackass" star Jason "Wee-Man" Acuna and top skater Chris Senn will square off at 4 p.m. at the Ashland Skate Park, Oak and Hersey streets. It's all part of a skateboarding video being filmed by the Dogtown and Adrenlin teams, said Reuben Davis, owner of Low Down Boards in Ashland. He helped organize the gathering, which brought the stars to town. "Chris Senn is one of the best skaters anywhere," Davis said. And Wee-Man? He's a popular character on the MTV show known for its outrageous stunts. Acuna's team includes Laban Pheidias, an Ashland High School graduate and top skater, as well as Preston Acuff, who has also appeared on "Jackass." Senn's team includes skaters Mike Manzoori and Jaya Bonderov, Davis said. The film team visited Great American Pizza, an Ashland restaurant, where they conducted the "Century Club," a popular feature of the show. It's a game where competitors aim to drink 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes. "They never got to 30," said Braden Benton, owner of the pizza place. Was he surprised to find Wee-Man in his store? "It was cool all around," Benton said. Mail Tribune Home | Ottaway Newspapers, Inc. | Dow Jones & Co., Inc. | Privacy | Contact Us Copyright 2001 Mail Tribune, Inc.
