No sign of missing climber Searchers looking for a hiker missing since Saturday on Mount Shasta still hadn't found him Tuesday. Karl H. Landers, 69, of Orinda, Calif., became separated from his two hiking partners Saturday. He was not feeling well, and his partners told him to climb ahead while they broke camp. He was carrying just a day pack and a bottle of water. Tuesday's search was called off at dark and will continue today. Three helicopters, U.S. Forest Service employees and members of the Siskiyou County sheriff's posse continued to look for Landers Tuesday. Volunteers from the Shasta County Jeep Posse and Mountain Rescue groups, the sheriff's department Search and Rescue Unit and the Shasta Mountain Guides also have been helping out. Volunteers have been skiing through the wooded areas of the mountain to look for him, and others have been checking trailheads and roads.
