John Wesley Caulkins Jun 23, 2017 12:00 AM A A December 23, 1930 - June 13, 2017 John W. Caulkins, 86, of Minden, Nevada passed into eternal life. Son of Fred Isaac and Clara Shauver Caulkins he graduated from Phoenix High School in 1949 and attended Southern Oregon State University. He joined the U.S. Navy Seabees in 1951. John was married to his childhood sweetheart Kay Donna Dudley until her death in 1988. John leaves his wife, Beverly of 28 years; children Jeffrey, Brian, Michele, Kevin, and Timothy; their spouses, and nine grandchildren. Preceding him in death were Kay Dudley Caulkins, six brothers and sisters, and a grandson. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m, Sunday, June 25 at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, Carson City, Nev. Burial will be at Garden Cemetery, Gardnerville, Nev.
