Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend January 9, 2006 Emergency Services Felony arrests Kidnapping — Dustin John Bell, 31, of the 1000 block of Highbury Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Bell Sunday on charges of first-degree kidnapping, attempted second-degree assault and menacing. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $1,033,000 bail. Burglary — Steven Levene Jones Jr., 34, of the 4000 block of Foots Creek Road, Gold Hill. Medford police arrested Jones Sunday on charges of second-degree burglary and attempted second-degree burglary. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $9,000 bail. Crime report Burglary — 300 block of West Clark Street, Medford. Medford police Sunday took a report of a burglarized residence. A black and gray GT mountain bike, crystal, books and $80 in coins were reported stolen. Injury accidents Car crash — 5700 block of Upton Road, Central Point. Three people were taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center Sunday following a head-on collision at about 4:07 p.m. Michael Falan, 37, of White City, was driving at a high rate of speed when his 1968 Dodge Rambler collided with a Mitsubishi Mirage driven by 32-year-old Suzanna R. Nicoletto, of Central Point, said Jackson County Sheriff Mike Winters. Falan faced charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended, Winters said. Nicoletto was hospitalized with broken bones and a collapsed lung, Winters said. Falan and his passenger, 19-year-old Dennis Orvis III, of White City, also were taken to RVMC. The hospital, however, listed none of the motorists as patients late Sunday.
