Jackson County Fire District 3 responded to a trucking yard in the 5000 block of Crater Lake Avenue at 11:46 a.m. after reports of a vehicle fire. Fire officials said the agency dispatched two engines to the scene to find a load of hay on fire in a 30-foot trailer. Crews had the blaze extinguished in about 10 minutes. There was no damage to the trailer or any nearby vehicles. No one was injured. Investigators are still trying to determine how the fire started.
