Ashland utility billing office closed By Morgan Rothborne Updated: Sep 13, 2022 02:56 PM A A Staffing shortages have forced the closure of Ashland’s utility billing office until further notice, prompting some delays in billing and payment. The office, at 20 E. Main St., will be closed for the foreseeable future, with no opportunity to meet with staff or make payments, according to a press release sent by the city Monday. Because of the sudden closure, September billing will be delayed one week and delinquent processing will be postponed until Sept. 20, the release said. Ashland utilities customers still can make payments online, by mail (20 E. Main St., Ashland, OR 97520) or at the city utility payment kiosk outside Ashland Civic Center, 1175 E. Main St., just outside the Ashland Police Department, as long as they come prepared with their account numbers and customer numbers. Communication delays should be expected, the release said, and customers who called or emailed should expect a response by Friday, Sept 16. For emergencies, customers are asked to call 541-488-6004 and select option 2. For all other communications, email [email protected] or call 541-488-6004.
