Sex offender accused of trying to take cellphone video in Old Navy dressing room Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 30, 2015 at 10:57 AM Posted Sep. 30, 2015 at 10:57 AM » Social News A registered sex offender with a history of targeting women while they shop was arrested after allegedly trying to record an 18-year-old in a dressing room at Old Navy, Medford police say. David Neal Reynolds, 55, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of invasion of personal privacy and lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Wednesday morning on $4,000 bail. Medford police said that the young woman saw a hand holding a cellphone reach under a partition and into her dressing room. She tried to grab the phone, then came out to confront the man who was holding the phone. He fled, but the store had surveillance footage showing him, police reported. Investigators recognized him as a registered sex offender who was arrested in 2014 on charges of third-degree sexual abuse, harassment and failure to register as a sex offender after rubbing against women shoppers. In that incident, he pressed against a woman who bent down to look at merchandise at Target. She worked in law enforcement and confronted him and reported the incident, leading to his arrest. In 2014, police reported that after interviewing Reynolds they concluded he had bumped or rubbed against dozens of women in grocery and department stores for sexual gratification over the course of years. This time, investigators suspect that he might have attempted to record other women surreptitiously. Police ask anyone who might have seen Reynolds acting suspiciously in stores, especially around dressing rooms, to call Detective Tony Young at 541-774-2230.
