Medford police late Sunday arrested Giron on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was released Monday on his own recognizance. Hit and run — Thomas Eugene Schmittendorf, 48, of Lawrence, Kan. Medford police on Monday arrested Schmittendorf on charges of felony hit-and-run driving and third-degree assault. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $30,000 bail. Drugs — Hayden Ryan Vondehn, 20, of the first block of Whitman Street, Ashland. Vondehn made his initial appearance Monday in a Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with felony possession, manufacture and distribution of marijuana. He was processed at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on his own recognizance. Theft — June Helen Drake, 25, of Warren. Drake made her initial appearance Monday in a Jackson County Circuit Court on indictments charging her with first-degree theft and fourth-degree assault. She was processed at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on her own recognizance.
