Searchers fail to find hunter missing since Saturday Search and rescue teams searched the Picket Creek Road area of Josephine County for a Grants Pass man who disappeared while deer hunting in the area Saturday. Danny Ray Hanson, 34, became separated from his hunting party late Saturday and was reported missing shortly after midnight Sunday, according to the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. Hanson is an avid outdoorsman and hunter whose friends say he knows the area very well, deputies said. The Josephine County Search and Rescue Team scoured the area Sunday but did not find him as of Sunday night. He is described as 6 feet tall and 190 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes and a reddish-blond goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue flannel shirt with red strip, a black tank top, and either camouflage pants or blue jeans. Anyone with information on Hanson's whereabouts was urged to telephone the sheriff's office at (541) 474-5123. Mail Tribune Copyright   The Mail Tribune 1999, Medford, Oregon USA
