October 18. 2014 2:00AM Alvin Simmons Alvin Simmons passed away in his home October 13, 2014. He was 75. Alvin was born April 11, 1939 in Medford, Ore. to Clayton and Hazel Simmons. Alvin is survived by his sister, Sharon Richey of Bend, Ore.; niece, Candee Foresell of Bend, Ore.; and nephew David Bowen of Fort Collins, Colo. Alvin began work as a truck driver at an early age and continued until his retirement in 2005. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18 at Memorial Gardens in Medford, Ore. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alvin's life.
