Gaylord Lincoln Hallett Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Nov. 30, 2014 at 2:00 AM Posted Nov. 30, 2014 at 2:00 AM » Social News Gaylord Lincoln Hallett, 86, went to be with the Lord November 21, 2014. Known as Gay to family and friends, he was a 64-year resident of Central Point, Ore. and was involved in civic affairs in the town he loved. He was born in Auburn, Wash. to John A. Hallett and Elizabeth (Rumsey) in 1928. Gay spent his adult life involved with the U.S. Navy, Knights of Pythias, the Jaycees, and his local church. He owned and operated several small businesses in the area, specializing mostly in automotive parts service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara (Poole); sister, Mildred (Thomas); and brother, Lester. He is survived by his brother, Stanley; sons, John and David Hallett; daughter, Carla (Finegan); nephew, Ron (Buck) Thomas; and grandchildren, Tiffany, Christine, Christopher, Ashlee, Sawyer, and Coleman. He was a happy, giving man who will be greatly missed by family and friends. He will be interred at the Eagle Point National Cemetery with his wife Barbara.
