Coolidge, Crusaders shine in relay meet Trevor Coolidge had a busy day at the Crusader Relays Thursday. The St. Mary's High junior won the 3,000 meters, then ran a leg on two winning relay teams during the non-scoring, five-school meet. Coolidge anchored the victorious distance medley with a time of 4 minutes, 44 seconds in the mile, pulled away near the end for a 10:29.2 time in the 3,000 and turned in a 57-second, second leg on the 1,600 relay. The Crusaders also received a productive performance from junior Kristen Zielony, who won the girls 100 hurdles and participated on two relay teams that proved triumphant. The St. Mary's girls won four of the five relay events. Cascade Christian's Jordan Ferrell picked up individual wins in the long jump (18-5) and high jump (6-2) to go with a winning effort on the Challengers' 800 relay squad. Derrick Madden of Cascade Christian registered wins in the 110 hurdles (19.2) and pole vault (8-11) and a pair of seconds in the long jump and high jump.
