Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Advertisement Email Story to a Friend April 25, 2006 Felony arrests •U Identity theft — Toni Sue Burrows, 37, of the 2900 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police late Sunday arrested Burrows on six counts of identity theft, one count of conspiracy to commit identity theft and one count of second-degree theft. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on her own recognizance. •U Drugs — Leon Douglas Remstedt, 35, of the first block of Maple Street, Shady Cove. Shade Cove police Monday arrested Remstedt on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. •U Assault — Louise M. Murphy, 41, of the 20,0000 block of Highway 62, Shady Cove. Shade Cove police Monday arrested Murphy on two counts of felony fourth-degree assault and two counts of harassment. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where she remained Monday in lieu of $16,000 bail. •U Hit and run — Casey James Dusenberry, 21, of the 1200 block of Sunset Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Dusenberry late Saturday on charges of injury hit and run, reckless driving and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, but was released Sunday afternoon on bail. "¢ Drugs — Tony Laverne Lewis, 51, no permanent address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Lewis early Sunday on a warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $5,000 bail. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 71 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of no more than 230 inmates. Of those, 16 were released before their scheduled court appearances, none were granted an early release from a sentence and 55 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
