Bonney Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Jan. 27, 2015 at 2:00 AM Posted Jan. 27, 2015 at 2:00 AM » Social News Darrell Eugene Bonney, 98, of Central Point, Ore. passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, January 22, 2015. He was born September 4, 1916 in Tygh Valley, Ore. to Dale Augusta and Alice Mildred (Young) Bonney. In 1936 Darrell joined Company 2904 of the Civilian Conservation Corp(CCC) where he learned many valuable life skills. He was honorably discharged in 1938. In 1979 he retired from KOGAP Manufacturing Co. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. His family especially loved hearing stories of the old days growing up in the Drews area and taking drives together on the back roads, many of which he helped build. Darrell is survived by five daughters, Jean E. (Jim) Sanderson, Michelle Bonet, Marjory (Russ) Baize, Alice (Mike) Crouse, and Sue (Mark) Folkerts; nine grandchildren, James D. Sanderson, Jennifer Naess, Jeremy Sanderson, Angela Canon, Tanya Baize and Ben, David and Matt Crouse; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Gilbert Bonney; his first wife, Jean E. (Hayes) Bonney; and second wife, Wilma Marie (Bauer) Bonney.
