Leap into Friday Feb 29, 2008 12:00 AM A A That's right - it's that day we get only once every four years, Leap Day, and it's a Friday to boot. What will you use this extra day to do? You could check out Leap Day trivia and history at http://www.timeanddate.com/date/leapyear.html. Do you know why, for example, we even need all this leaping? Or you could leap on over to Ashland's Oak Stree DanceStudio/Theatre, 1287 Oak St., where a Leap Year Celebration Concert is set at 8 tonight (just in case you don't leap quickly enough, it repeats at 8 p.m. Saturday). Performers will include Moment in Time Dance Company, belly dancer Asya, singer and dancer Vanessa Nowitzky and the Hawaiian dance group Hula O Kahwai.
