Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Sargent early Friday on a charge of first- degree burglary. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $20,000 bail. Theft — Diana Lynn Orey, 34, of the 2400 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Oregon State Police arrested Orey July 26 on charges of possession of amphetamine, being a felon in possession of a firearm and driving while suspended. She faced an added charge Friday of first-degree theft and was held in jail on $20,000 bail. Burglary — Paul Joseph Still, 20, no permanent address. Shady Cove police arrested Still Thursday on Curry County warrants charging him with failure to appear in court on charges of fraud and probation violation. He faced added charges Friday of first-degree burglary and second-degree theft and was held in jail on $25,000. Drugs — Ruben Rivera Politron, 22, of the 200 block of Berrydale Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Rivera Friday on charges of possession, delivery and manufacture of amphetamine and first-degree child neglect. He was jailed on $35,000 bail. Drugs — John William Kimball, 34, of the 400 block of South Peach Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Kimball Friday on charges of possession of amphetamine and violating probation conditions of a drug conviction. He was jailed without bail. Drugs — Jeffrey Lynn Grant, 41, of the 6500 block of Blackwell Road, Central Point. Grant appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Friday on an indictment charging him with possession and delivery of amphetamine. He was booked in jail and released. Drugs — Katherine Lynne Morris, 44, of the 700 block of West Jackson Street, Medford. Morris appeared in Circuit Court Friday on an indictment charging her with possession and delivery of amphetamine. She was booked in jail and released. Fire call Grass fire — Sparks from a tractor started a blaze that burned a half-acre of grass behind the old Starlight Drive-in off South Pacific Highway, Medford. Nine firefighters with three engines and a water-hauling truck controlled the 10:55 a.m. blaze in about 15 minutes, said Dan Petersen, a battalion chief for Medford Fire Department. No structures were threatened and no one was injured.
