UPDATED: Nearly 50,000 Pacific Power customers lose power By Ryan Pfeil of the Mail Tribune Jan 27, 2021 10:44 AM A A Nearly 50,000 Pacific Power customers lost electrical power Wednesday morning in Josephine and Jackson counties, according to company officials. At 10:40 a.m., 49,881 customers were without power, company spokesman Drew Hanson said. The cause was under investigation, but was "likely weather-related," Hanson said in an email. A majority of the outages are in the Grants Pass area, with customers also impacted in Rogue River, Murphy, Wilderville and Selma. The outages were reported at 10:03 a.m. It isn't known when the power will be back on. By 12:30 p.m., the majority of customers had their power restored, with 2,235 customers still waiting.
