October 24. 2014 3:39PM High winds expected Saturday The National Weather Service has issued an alert warning that high winds should be expected throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California beginning this evening and through Saturday.  Forecasters say south winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected and that gusts could hit 45 mph. Affected areas include the coast, the Rogue Valley, Siskiyou County in California and east of the Cascade Mountains. The strongest winds are expected in the early afternoon Saturday.
