Registration ends Jan. 3. Cost is $30 for members and $45 for non-members. Call Wes Towne or Chuck Mettler at 772-6295 or sign up at the YMCA. WINTER LEAGUES — Start Dec. 1 at Central Point Elementary. Maximum eight teams in each lower and upper division. Lower division runs Sundays (6:30 p.m.) and Thursdays (7:45 p.m.) and upper division runs Sundays (1:30 p.m.) and Wednesdays (7:45 p.m.). Cost is $300 per team or $40 per player. FIFTH-SIXTH GRADE TRYOUTS — Tryouts at Central Point Elementary on Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. and Nov. 30 from 1:30-3 p.m. League starts Jan. 4 with registration deadline Monday. MEDFORD PARKS CITY LEAGUE — Team registration for men’s winter leagues accepted through Nov. 27. Leagues play 10-game season. Cost is $350 per team. Football OREGON STATE CIVIL WAR TOUR — Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., Rogue Valley Country Club. A buffet style dinner with appearance by OSU athletic director Bob DeCarolis, telephone interview with an assistant coach and Beaver gear raffle. Cost $25. Guest speakers will be Oregon athletic director Bill Moos and radio announcer Jerry Allen. Cost $7.50. MEDFORD LINEBACKERS — Fridays, noon, at JJ North’s Grand Buffet, 1016 N. Riverside. Area football coaches will be the guest speakers. FLAG & TOUCH STATE CHAMPIONSHIP — Any adult men’s or women’s teams can participate in the state championships Saturday and Sunday in Portland. Ice Skating LEARN-TO-SKATE PROGRAM — Currently under way, runs for six weeks for ages 3 to adult at the RRRink. Days are Tuesdays from 5:15-6 p.m. and Saturday’s 9:15-10 a.m. Cost is $70 for ages 6 to adult and $50 for ages 3-5. Course includes free skate rental, free 15-minute practice session each week and free public skate session on the day of your class. Running LONGEST NIGHT MILE — Dec. 18 at the North Medford High School track. $5 for adults, $3 for high-school age or younger. Soccer ROGUE VALLEY TRYOUTS — Rogue Valley Soccer Club registration and tryouts are Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park for high school aged soccer players who wish to play on competitive teams. The tryouts are open to players with birthdays between Aug. 1, 1983 and July 31, 1988. No under-14 players will be allowed to try out. The teams are open to players from anywhere in Southern Oregon.
