An Ashland police officer Thursday arrested Saloma on charges of first-degree assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Thursday on more than $1 million bail. Identity theft, theft — Tamara Ann Bauer, 42, of the 200 block of West Gregory Road, Central Point. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Bauer on three counts of identity theft, first-degree theft and first-degree criminal mistreatment. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Thursday on $25,000 bail. Theft — Terry Wayne Crawford, 46, of the 300 block of Chestnut Street, Medford. Crawford appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree theft. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Mistreatment — Paula A. Dansdill, 59, of the 400 block of Emerald Circle, Medford. Dansdill appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with first-degree criminal mistreatment. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Mistreatment — Gary Lee Minkler, 38, of the 400 block of Emerald Court, Medford. Minkler appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree criminal mistreatment. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Criminal mischief — John Michael Manescalco, 47, of Bothell, Wash. Manescalco appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief and hit-and-run driving. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Advertisement Drugs — Elisha Lynn Wolfe, 18, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Wolfe on a charge of methamphetamine possession. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Thursday on $15,000 bail. Assault — Thomas Theodore Hojem Jr., 35, of the 4000 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy late Wednesday arrested Hojem on a charge of fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in jail and later released after posting bail. Sex abuse — Matthew Ellis Gowey, 30, of the 100 block of Lindley Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Gowey on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $20,000 bail. Crime report Vandalism — 900 block of Park Avenue, Medford. A 16-year-old boy was taken to juvenile hall Wednesday on suspicion of using black spray paint to damage four vehicles. The youth, whose name was not provided by police, allegedly committed the crimes between 4 and 6 a.m. Wednesday. Curse words were sprayed on two of the cars, Medford police Lt. Mike Moran said. Three of the four people who had their vehicles damaged had recently complained about the suspect’s quality of work as their morning newspaper delivery person, Moran said. Police went to the boy’s Cottage Street home and arrested him after finding black spray paint on his hand and fingers, Moran said. The teen faces criminal mischief charges. Fire call Motor home fire — 3200 block of Avenue A, White City. Fire investigators do not know what sparked a fire that destroyed a motor home early Thursday in the back yard of a residence. Jackson County Fire District No. 3 crews responded to the fire at about 5 a.m. When they arrived, the property owner was using a hose to douse the flames, said Don Hickman, deputy fire marshal for District 3. Fire crews were then able to extinguish the blaze. Hickman said the property owner reported calling 9-1-1 after hearing an explosion and seeing the motor home on fire. The motor home was not plugged in and did not have a connected battery or propane tank. Hickman said investigators have so far been able to pinpoint how the blaze started. The motor home’s estimated value is $10,000.
