Interstate 5 Exit 14, Highway 66 (south Ashland interchange): ODOT encourages drivers to take the north Ashland exit this week, especially Wednesday and Thursday nights. With paving complete, project moves to guardrail replacement at I-5 Exit 14 on-and off-ramps. Monday and Tuesday work will be done during the day. Work on Wednesday and Thursday will be done from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should watch for traffic control and expect intermittent 20-minute delays on the ramps. Drivers should reduce speed, watch for heavy equipment and use caution. Project is scheduled for completion in September. I-5 Exit 30 (north Medford interchange): Crews will work on and around the I-5 Exit 30 median. Motorists should watch for traffic delays both northbound and southbound. Roadway construction continues on Poplar Drive at the Highway 62 intersection through August. South section of Poplar Drive will be reconstructed Monday through Thursday. Final Poplar Drive construction is scheduled for completion in September. Motorists should watch for traffic control and expect delays up to 20 minutes. Project completion is scheduled for October 2005. I-5 Exit 33, Pine Street, Central Point: Work on this new Jackson County bridge is nearly complete. By mid-September, traffic will be switched to the new structure, and deck overlay preparation work will begin on the existing structure. The roadway is narrowed to one lane in each direction on Pine Street. Motorists can expect moderate to heavy congestion from I-5 ramps eastbound across the Bear Creek structure, through the Peninger Road intersection and across the bridge. I-5 Exit 48, Rogue River Bridge: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the construction zone. Highway 238, downtown Jacksonville: Roadway construction continues Monday. Roadway paving is complete. Work is now focused on striping and signing. Flaggers will provide traffic control as needed. Motorists should expect traffic delays. Project completion is scheduled for Sept. 30. Highway 234, downtown Gold Hill: Two lanes of traffic will be maintained through Gold Hill during construction. Motorists should watch for traffic control and reduce their speed. Project completion set for September. Highway 99, from Charlotte Anne Road in Medford to Colver Road in Talent: Crews are active along the shoulder of the highway. Motorists should watch for traffic control and lane closures. Project completion set for Dec. 31.
