Born on Christmas Eve in 1931 to parents, Bertie Clarence Tomlinson and Lura Maude Foster at Multonomah Hospital in Portland, Ore., Greeta was preceded in death by all eight of her brothers and sisters and by her beloved husband of over 20 years, Earl Hoppes. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her sons, Daniel Allen Matlock (Arlene), Leland Charles Matlock (Tina) and daughters, Diana Lucille Hoppes Nielsen (Tom), and Louise Carol Shropshire Robertson, and all of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in her honor to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) or the Southern Oregon Humane Society (sohumane.org).
