Measures that would continue a property tax levy to fund the Rogue River Fire District and make changes to the Phoenix city charter were approved. The Gold Hill levy would have cost property owners $2.64 per $1,000 of assessed value and raise $162,000 to $182,000 annually. In Rogue River, the vote was 77.1 percent to 22.9 percent to continue a five-year levy that costs property owners 60 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. The Phoenix charter amendments, approved 78.5 percent to 21.5 percent, will, among other things, change the oath of office to no longer include oaths to uphold state and federal law.
