The Raiders went to 17-7 overall going into doubleheaders Monday and Tuesday at 14th-ranked Biola (Calif.) and No. 8 Concordia (Calif.). Rebounding from Friday's two losses, the Raiders broke a scoreless tie against William Jessup with two fifth-inning runs. Kelsey Randall’s single up the middle scored Megan Winton and Ally Painter, who reached on a hit-by-pitch and a fielding error. WJU strung together a couple singles to get one back in the bottom of the fifth. In the seventh, Painter was plunked again, moved over on Krystina Pardoski’s single and scored on an error. Brianne Craig pitched a complete game for the win, allowing five hits and working around a couple walks in the seventh. She struck out one as an errorless defense worked behind her. Later, Simpson's Paris Hallums worked seven innings for the second day in a row against the Raiders, allowing four hits and walking one. Trailing 1-0 in the fifth, SOU tied it as Winton singled and was sacrificed over, then scored on Pardoski's squeeze. Hallums retired the last seven Raiders, and the Redhawks won it in the last at-bat. Kayla Mah doubled and moved to third on an error, and a Courtney Thomas single ended it. Cheyenne Bricker had another strong outing for SOU, going six-plus and allowing two runs on seven hits and four walks. She was removed after Mah's double in the seventh. Baseball No. 20 OREGON 11, No. 22 SANTA BARBARA 3: At Goleta, Calif., Oregon won its eighth straight by dominating a top-25 matchup with UC Santa Barbara for the second day in a row, with first baseman Brandon Cuddy driving in seven runs to help give freshman left-hander David Peterson his first collegiate win. After the Gouchos took a 1-0 lead in the first, Cuddy tied it 2-2 with a two-run triple in the fourth, then scored on a sacrifice fly to give Oregon (10-1) its first lead. Cuddy, who drove in the eventual winning runs Friday, followed suit Saturday in the fifth when he came up with the bases loaded and cleared the left-field fence for a grand slam. Phil Craig-St. Louis reached on an error and was driven in by Mark Karaviotis to make it a five-run inning, and an 8-2 lead. The 6-foot-6 freshman left-hander Peterson posted his third straight quality start. He allowed four hits in six innings, fanning four and walking one. OREGON STATE 25-9, GRAMBLING STATE 3-2: At Corvallis, Oregon State combined for 34 runs and 34 hits in the doubleheader sweep. OSU’s 25 runs in game one marked the second-highest single game total by an NCAA team this season, and the 22-run differential was the third-highest. The Beavers, who finished the weekend with 44 total runs and 43 hits against the Tigers, raised their team batting average 25 points to .330 after the Saturday sweep. OSU utilized five home runs on the day. In Game 1, OSU hit four — one apiece by Trever Morrison, Caleb Hamilton, Kyle Nobach and Michael Howard. The Beavers jumped out to a 15-0 lead before Grambling State scored three in the top half of the eighth. Making his first start, freshman Drew Rasmussen allowed four hits and three runs — one earned — in 7 2/3 innings. He struck out nine. Hamilton drove in four runs in the first game, going 3-for-6 with three runs scored. KJ Harrison had three hits. In Game 2, OSU's Gabe Clark homered and had three hits, as did Billy King.
