By Ryan Pfeil Mail Tribune Follow @@RyanPfeil Posted Feb. 16, 2016 at 4:31 PM Updated Feb 16, 2016 at 5:31 PM » Social News Surveillance video from a Medford gun store released Tuesday shows two thieves smashing glass in a door and grabbing four pistols in under 20 seconds. The burglary occurred about 5:38 a.m. Thursday at Guns R Us in the Winco Plaza, Medford police said. Lt. Mike Budreau said exterior video showed the two suspects outside, both clad head-to-toe in dark clothing with their faces covered. "They were pacing back and forth in front of the business," Budreau said. One of the thieves suddenly took out an object that looked like a crowbar and smashed the glass on the front door and crawled through it at a manic pace. The burglars ran to the back of the store, where some display cases were located, which is when the video cut off. Budreau said the thieves smashed the display cases and stole four .22-caliber pistols: a Kel-Tec PMR 30, a Citadel 1911, a Smith & Wesson semi automatic and a Walther P22. A business alarm attracted police, but the burglars already had fled. "They were in and out in 19 seconds," Budreau said. Police estimate the break-in will cost the business about $3,700, including about $550 per gun and $1,500 in damage.
