WEDDING Wedding: Laxalt-Strahl Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Jun. 26, 2015 at 10:24 AM Posted Jun. 26, 2015 at 10:24 AM » Social News Christopher Joseph Strahl and Michelle Janet Laxalt were married May 9, 2015, at a private residence on Captain Cook Bay in Kona, Hawaii. Their friend, Adam Kupka, officiated the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Janet and Paul Laxalt of Reno, Nev. She is a 1999 graduate of Reno High School, and a 2004 graduate of University of Nevada with a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's in social work. She works as a mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente in Portland. The groom is the son of Nancy and Joseph Strahl of Gold Hill. He is a 2000 graduate of North Medford High School, and a 2005 graduate of Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on management information systems, and an MBA with a focus in entrepreneurship. He works as vice president of business development at Phase2 Technology in Portland. The maid of honor was friend Molly Morris of Reno. Bridesmaids were friends Jamie Green, Nessa Clarke and Chandra Rice, all of Las Vegas, Emily Morton, Hally Martin and Rachael McWhirter, all of Portland, and Melissa Rogers of Seattle. The best man was the groom's brother, Jonathan Strahl of Seattle. Groomsmen were friends Chris Bloom, Grant Gaudet and Joel Siedenburg, all of Portland, Mike Thompson of Seattle, Sam Gibson of Sydney, Australia, and Scott Robinson of China. A reception hosted by the couple followed the ceremony at the residence. A honeymoon is planned for a later date, and the newlyweds are living in Portland.
