O'Dell's 3-hitter highlights win MERLIN - Ryan O'Dell fired a three-hit shutout and Jared Adamson had two hits and three RBIs to lead Medford to a 10-0 victory over Bay Area in the opening round of the 13-year-old Babe Ruth South State Tournament. O'Dell struck out six and walked only one in a game that was stopped after six innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. Tyler Heil added a pair of hits, including a double, for the Medford all-stars, who have outscored three opponents 50-3 in tournament play.
