Henley overpowers Pirates, 30-7 PHOENIX -- Ryan Juhl had 222 yards and three Henley touchdowns on 42 carries as the Hornets stung Phoenix, 30-7, Friday in Skyline Conference football at Jack Woodward Stadium. "They put together a real nice ground game against us," Phoenix coach Joe Hagler said. "Juhl is just an outstanding running back." The Hornets finished the night with 287 yards rushing and 137 yards passing, while holding the Pirates to 80 yards of total offense. "They just kept getting first downs and controlled the ball," Hagler said. "They didn't let us get into any kind of rhythm." Despite being overshadowed for most of the game, the Pirates started strong. Brian Monical intercepted a pass by the Hornets on the first drive of the game. The Pirates converted the turnover into a touchdown with their first offensive play, a 60-yard pass from Bobby Dawson to Brandon Lillis. The Hornets didn't miss a beat as they took the next possession and drove it down the field for their first touchdown.
